What is white lotus seed?

These are very nice quality lotus seeds. The packaging is a bit different from what's shown in the confirmation email, but the product is nice.
As in title, the seed pods were a little larger than standard glass marbles, and just as hard. I debated pounding them with a hammer because I don’t have a mortar and pestle. A friend suggested soaking them overnight. That might work. His, from another company were smaller and softer, more easy to grind by hand.
I love dry lotus seeds, would buy it again .
Used the lotus seeds in a soup. It's easy to cook and has a good texture and flavor. Definitely recommend this item to everyone.
